Gate
Block UI that breaks your design system. Before it merges.
Rams today reviews a pull request and tells you what is wrong. Gate is the service on top: we encode your design system by hand, your agent generates on it, and the check fails when something drifts. You do not operate anything. Nothing off-system ships.
What it replaces
The review comments asking for the token instead of the hex, the drift that ships anyway while they are in meetings, the quarterly cleanup PR. Gate does that part on every pull request, without the person — and the person gets their week back for the work only they can do.
Skimming every agent PR for off-system UI before it merges, and the low-grade worry on the ones you did not get to. That job moves to the check. You find out what was kept out from the monthly receipt, not from production.
Everything Team does is inside — the reviews on every pull request, the one-click fixes, the blocking check — now running against your rules instead of only ours. One bill replaces the other, and nothing about your setup changes.
What's inside
We read your codebase and turn your tokens, spacing scale, type ramp, and component patterns into rules a machine can check. Not universal taste — yours.
Those rules install where your coding agent reads them, so the UI comes out right the first time instead of being corrected in review.
A pull-request check that fails on violations of your system. It ramps: advisory, then warnings, then blocking, one rule at a time. Only deterministic checks ever block — judgment advises, never gates.
Findings arrive with before/after screenshots: the broken render, our patch applied, the fixed render. Rams ships that pair only when the fix provably landed.
A monthly account of what was kept out. Prevention hides its own value, so the person approving the invoice gets to see it.
How it works
We scope it together: your system, your repos, the price. $2,000+ a month, per team, and the number is settled there — this page is not a checkout.
By hand, from your codebase and tokens. The first of your rules are live within days; you review what we wrote, we adjust.
Each rule runs advisory first, then warns, then blocks — one at a time, in the order you choose. Nothing red-Xes your team by surprise.
Every month, a plain account of what Gate kept out of production, for whoever approves the invoice.
The measurement engine, the deterministic checks that would do the blocking, and the before/after renders are built and running in Rams today. The rules extraction, the enforcing check, and the receipt are in build. We are taking a small first group now, hand-built with each team — which is why this is a conversation and not a checkout page.
A few teams a quarter — hand-encoding is part of the service, not a setup fee, and hands are the constraint.
